The wedding venue that holds on to a tiny piece of your soul, acquiring fragments from each happy couple that has ever graced their gardens, transforming it from a place to say “I do” to a place you can call home.

As a soon to-be newlywed, you will have at some point fallen upon this renowned Ibiza location, but nothing prepares you for the affair you are about to embark upon with this venue, until you see it with your own eyes.

The Luscious green gardens that are kept in pristine condition, host plants and flowers such as birds of paradise, orange & lemon trees and bougainvillea, that all give a luxurious feel to every inch of the space. Situated in the peaceful town of San Juan, a stone’s throw from the cosmopolitan Santa Eulalia, this venue has it all.

If this location were a scent, it would be salty Spanish olives, natural Sabina wood and fresh orange, all wrapped up in a Jo Malone bottle!

The experience of a Can Gall wedding is quite honestly, heavenly, with an instant feeling of nirvana, as you are met with a beaming smile from quite possibly, the nicest man in Ibiza, Santi.

I sat with Santi, next to an open fire in a coffee shop in San Juan, where he told me wonderful stories of the hundreds of couples he has met over the years. We laughed over our bitterly strong and truly Spanish coffee, while he told me tales of a missing groomsmen that he found lost outside of Pacha, a bride jumping in the pool in her gown, and some un-printable stories that had me crying with laughter.

Owner Santi, transformed the venue from an Ibicencan farmhouse to the stunning venue it is today. Keeping in theme with tradition, Santi has kept the open beams and original brickwork of the house, creating a peaceful space for your stay and most importantly, the wedding day prep. He makes all of the fixtures and fittings with locally sourced wood and materials, and has designed and built two beautiful bars with his own hands. Santi talked about how much he missed this year’s weddings and how now more than ever, he appreciates that the couples are such a big part of his life. “I can’t wait to get back to weddings and seeing all the happy guests, especially my favourite part, the party! Great music, quality food and lots of love, that’s how a wedding should be”.

Holding your wedding celebrations at Can Gall gives you three days of total privacy, with the icing on the cake being a next day pool party. With a traditional Ibicencan BBQ and an honest bar, this is a fabulous end to your celebrations.

Such a venue, deserved one hell of a shoot! So we did what we do best, with an epic mood board and a killer team.

Wanting to do justice to the can gall brand, I brought in the creative big guns! Infin8 Images captured the day with style, finesse and once again, just smashed it out of the park in every way. I really admire Infin8 Images founder Garry. He has built his brand using raw talent, dedication and a whole lot of heart. Capturing candid moments in a unique style, he produces incredible wedding videos that you will forever be able to hold onto, in a spectacular and magical way. Marbin Flowers was able to design the most incredible florals. Two breathtakingly beautiful arches, flower crowns, hanging arrangements, a centre piece, and an umbrella made entirely of flowers! Vibrant, colourful and striking was our concept, and once again we were all blown away with her formations. Margreet always wows me with her works of art and puts so much into each part of her creations. I will never grow tired of admiring her beautiful pieces.

The food is always exquisite by The Chef Ibiza. They not only know Can Gall’s clientele inside out, but they will work with each couple to create a bespoke menu that is perfect for them and their guests. They offer a tasting event prior to the day, and bend over backwards to make sure every part of your menu is truly mouth-watering. Fresh food and impeccable service, what more could you ask for?

We had the best day shooting at Can Gall, the team were brilliant and professional. We dodged a downpour, ate like kings and laughed till we cried. In fact, my tears may have been a little sad, knowing we were almost at the end of our Seven Shoots series. This project has given me life this summer, and along with my partner in all things creative Stephanie Shenton, we couldn’t be prouder of everything we have achieved, and the positive outcome it has brought to everyone involved.This summer has been all about putting our heart and soul back into our industry, up-ing our game, and most of all working individually on ourselves, because let’s face it, if you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?

So, what do you do in a pandemic when everything around you seems to be falling apart? Create fabulous shoots with fabulous people in fabulous venues. And when the famous Ibiza sunset has kissed the ocean at the end of another unforgettable shoot day, you sashay away…x
